Rosh Pinah Zinc Mine (Namibia)
Rosh Pinah Zinc Mine is located 900km south-west of Namibia and 20km north of Orange River. It is an underground mine and one of the largest zinc-lead mines in Namibia. Geofield Mining Services is involved in regional and near mine exploration programmes in line with the mine’s expansion drives.
Geofield Mining Services’ scope of work involves:
a) Data Review and drilling target generation
b) Management of drilling contractor
c) Core-yard management, core management, logging and sampling
d) Periodic review reports
e) Geological mapping to generate structural model for confinement of drilling targets
Karo Platinum (Zimbabwe)
Karo Platinum is the newest low-cost, open-pit PGM asset under construction and located on the Great Dyke in Zimbabwe. The Great Dyke is a PGM-bearing geological feature that runs north to south. At approximately 550 km in length and up to 11 km wide, it is second to the Bushveld Complex.
Geofield Mining Services’ principal consultants were involved in the development of the project from inception. Takashaya started as the Chief Geologist and then MRM for Karo Platinum. He was responsible for exploration geology, mine geology-grade control, survey, rock mechanics and mine planning. Arimon was involved in reviewing the PGMs mineral resource and reserves for Karo Platinum.
MinGrid Lithium Project (Zimbabwe)
Mingrid Lithium Project is located to the east of Harare, Zimbabwe. The project is sitting within a greenstone belt that hosts known Arcadia lithium mine and Arcturus Gold mine.
Geofield Mining Services is the Project Manager, responsible for carrying out geological mapping, magnetic survey using drone, trenching and diamond drilling. The staff compliment working on the project includes 2 Geologists, 2 Geotechnicians.
Darwendale Chrome Project
The project is owned by Dondo Resources (Pvt) Ltd chromite project is situated in Darwendale, approximately 65km west of Harare within the Great Dyke of Zimbabwe. Dondo resources has 240ha of ordinary claims the have seams 1 and 2 on the western limb of the Great Dyke.
Geofield Mining contacted ground magnetics and diamond drilling exploration determine the geology controlling chromite occurrence, and to investigate the nature and quality of the seams, their continuity as well as thickness variations. An in-situ resource of 2million tons to a depth of 90m was delineated at an average grade of 38%.
Arcadia Gold Deposit
The Arcadia Project area is located 160km north of Harare, within the Mt Darwin part of the Harare-Bindura-Shamva greenstone belt. The project belongs to Drom Resources Limited. Geofield Minin was given a mandate to carry out exploration work on Arcadia Project. The scope of work encompassed ground magnetic survey, geological mapping and IP surveys and diamond drilling to determine the geology controlling gold occurrence, and to investigate the geometry of the gold reefs, grades and tonnages.
Diamond drilling was done on targets that were generated by geophysics A total in-situ resource of 7million tones @ 4g/t was delineated at Arcadia Project.
